The free baggage allowance is the total amount of checked baggage that you may carry on a flight without extra charges. Such amount is specified on the ticket or itinerary receipt.
For tickets issued on/after 15September 2012 for travel on/after 01 OCT 2012 the free baggage allowanceis calculated on the basis of piece concept.

**By seamen passengers we mean: passengers who travel with a seamen ID/license (ship crew member). In order to benefit of the 10% discount of the price for some fares and of the possibility to transport 2 bagsweighing maximum 23kg each free of charge, seamen passengers are kindly asked to contact Carpatair Call Center, Carpatair agencies or accredited travel agencies in order to book the seat and mention at the moment of the booking the name of the ship that they are about to embark on or that they have just disembarked from and the national flag.
The maximum dimensions of checked baggage must not exceed 203 cm or 80 in (length + width + height), wheels, handles, side pockets, etc. included. The transport of baggage exceeding the maximum single item weight of 32 kg and/or the maximum dimensions of 203 cm is subject to special transport conditions and has therefore to be pre-notified and confirmed by the airline at the time of booking.
Free baggage allowance may vary if your itinerary includes Carpatair and other carriers’ flights.
Different free baggage allowances may be applicable to flights operated by partner airlines (codeshare) and to charter flights. If you combine a Carpatair flight with another flight of another carrier, the rules of the respectiveairline will also apply on Carpatair flight if the respective airline is operating the longest or most significant part of the journey. Therefore we kindly recommend that you check your free baggage allowance stated on your ticket or on your booking confirmation or for more details, please contact your travel agent.
In case your luggage exceeds the weight and dimensions permitted, you will be charged an excess baggage rate.
For tickets issued on/before 14September 2012 the below free baggage allowance applies, based on weight concept:

20 kg (44 lbs) for children aged between 2-12 years
10 kg (22 lbs) for infants aged between 0-2 years
30 kg (66 lbs) for business class passengers
40 kg (88 lbs) for seamen passengers
Baby strollers and wheelchairs are carried free of charge.
