Carpatair experienced constant growth in all terms since its first flight in 1999: number of aircraft, number of destinations, flight frequencies, number of passengers transported, revenues and profits. 
 
   Flight frequencies

In 2008, Carpatair operates over 70 flights per day in 6 countries, covering over 30 destinations in Europe, of which 10 are destinations in Romania.

   Fleet
 

 

More aircraft means more seats, so while growing and diversifying the company fleet, we could offer an increasing seat capacity for sale. In 2008, Carpatair is operating 14 Saab 2000 (50 seats) and 3 Fokker 100 (105 seats). Read more about our fleet.

Carpatair is member of prestigious industry organizations as IATA (International Air Transport Association), ERA
(European Regions Airline Association), MITA (Multilateral Interline Traffic Agreement), ICH (IATA Clearing House), as well as IATA BSP's in Romania and Moldova, Hungary, Ukraine, Italy, Germany, Greece, Austria, France and Great Britain. Having its flights and fares published in all global distribution systems (GDS), Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre, and Worldspan, Carpatair services are offered through a network of over 40,000 IATA travel agencies worldwide.

We concluded bilateral interline agreements, with a number of airlines, which makes possible mutual acceptance of each other’s flight documents and promoting each other’s services. 

 

HUMAN RESOURCES


The team staying behind Carpatair has grown and matured with the company. From only 10 employees which Carpatair counted back in 1999 when the company was created, nowadays the company staff is over 500 of whom 25% represent the flight and cabin staff. The average age of our employees is about 30 years old.
