The general trend of using new technologies for all operational systems aims at facilitating better communication, simplifying working methods, as well as supporting the environment by replacing the old-fashion (paper) data storage with improved, more interactive means.
In line with this current trend, from the very beginning Carpatair has invested in state-of-the-art aviation software, improving its overall performance.
NETLINE
 In March 2006, Carpatair started the implementation of a new advanced operational program, “Netline” developed by Lufthansa Systems, an integrated software enabling for the automation of communication, planning and control of all flight, maintenance and crew activities.
This software has been successfully used by major airlines from Europe and other parts of the world since mid-90s. 
It brings in efficiency to the entire process of flight operations, ensuring the planning of flight schedules and fleet, technical maintenance of the aircraft and the human resources required for all these tasks. At the same time, it facilitates better control and even suggests solutions in situations when major irregularities occur. The new system substantially reduces the possibility of human error in communication by providing real time information to the departments involved.
AMOS
 AMOS (the Swiss made "Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering System") is a fully integrated maintenance management software able to manage the complex maintenance, engineering and logistic requirements of any modern airline. Initially designed by Swiss engineers for internal purposes, AMOS is today marketed on an international  level, being currently used by approximately 60 airlines/MRO providers worldwide.
With its eight closely interrelated modules administered in one relational database, AMOS covers the maintenance/ engineering/ logistic requirements of any airline, regardless of its size, being in line with all standards and safety regulations of manufacturers and civil aviation authorities.
EDS FLIGHT PLANNING
EDS Flight Planning is a state-of-the-art system for optimizing airplane routes and speeds, reducing fuel consumption and maximizing payloads. EDS Flight Planning helps dispatchers and pilots to evaluate all the external factors that affect flight plans and to react more quickly to changing weather conditions, new route restrictions or unexpected airport closures providing with the tool for calculating the optimum operational flight plans (OFP).
FLIGHT DATA MONITORING (FDM)
Having as main purpose to increase flight safety and reduce operation and maintenance costs of the aircraft, the FDM (Flight Data Monitoring) software was purchased as the following arguments spoke for itself:
 it increases safety in aircraft operation in flight
 it improves the process of aircraft operation during a flight
 it supports the aircraft maintenance process (activities mainly related to the system’s troubleshooting).
 Carpatair team realized that the best benefit from this program can be taken only by having it properly implemented and with adequate and powerful IT analysis tools. A proper analysis IT tool is a software (or package of software) that allows analyzing every routine event as an incident or accident taking from it all that information that could help to increase the flight safety. That is why the software packages that we use are the Insight Analysis and the Insight Animation, which are both designed based on Flightscape’s exhaustive knowledge of incident and accident investigation.
Insight Analysis, an advanced tool for flight data analysis, allows the viewing of Frame and Engineering Units Data in Table and Plot Windows. Extensive interactive plotting and numeric data analysis features for studying flight data are simple and intuitive to use. Using Insight Analysis, an analyst can perform a variety of functions including data smoothing, interpolation, differentiation, integration, calculator functions, units conversions, flight path generation, speed conversions and performance functions. These tools are invaluable for deriving additional parameters such as rate of descent, distances traveled and flight path trajectories.
Insight Animation is an advanced tool for 3D flight animation with substantial features that are the direct result of use in literally hundreds of major accident investigations and airline FDM/FOQA data replay scenarios. Insight Animation can display an unlimited number of aircraft, high resolution terrain and complex cockpit instrumentation. Flight data can be read in its native ARINC format, providing accurate replay and visualization of data as it was recorded on the aircraft. Insight Animation can use flight related information from virtually any source, including Flight Data Recorders (FDR), Cockpit Voice Recorders (CVR), Air Traffic Control (ATC) voice recordings, and RADAR and GPS data. With Insight Animation’s World Terrain Database Terrain Pack, it is possible to visualize three dimensional terrain complete with satellite imagery from anywhere in the world.
SITA
 SITA Passenger and Travel Solutions is focused on airline passenger related services, providing application services, licensed software products and professional and consultancy services.
PTS enables managing the complete passenger experience from sales enquiry through to check-in, including all the supporting functions that surround these processes.
In time, Carpatair implemented basic SITA applications such as:
 SITA Reservations – the actual reservation system
 SITA Airfare, enabling airlines to determine the right ticket price for the right sales channel
 SITA DCS (Departure Control System), the passengers check-in and weight & balance solutions
 Electronic ticketing, a reliable, cost-efficient alternative to paper tickets
SITA REVENUE MANAGEMENT
SITA Revenue Management assists in providing the maximum possible revenue for each seat on every flight, through better allocation of capacity and booking classes, improved controller productivity and proactive market response. The program captures key flight inventory information from the airline's reservations system allowing calculation of optimized space control and yield management recommendations.
E-COMMERCE
In order to comply with IATA‘s “Simplifying the Business” project, aimed at completely eliminating by 2008 all paper documents used for passengers transportation, but also at giving a response to the industry's actual challenges, Carpatair implemented one of the latest SITA products, ”E-Commerce”, an application which opens up the most modern and efficient distribution channel, the web sales.
In fact, E-Commerce is the most important of all the new passenger services solutions, which will completely transform ticket sales from the traditional paper support to the more convenient and accessible E-Ticket.
EDGAR PASSENGER REVENUE ACCOUNTING
 Edgar is a powerful and complete sales-based passenger revenue accounting system providing precise information on revenue and passenger statistics to Accounting, Management, Sales, and Marketing areas.
It consists of several modules sharing a common database and an integrated environment. The modules can work separately or interconnected to achieve a coherent and comprehensive unit capable of handling all aspects of passenger revenue accounting (PRA).
PRA offers flexibility in issuing customized reports by producing legible documents such as facsimile, statistics, invoices and forms in IATA format. It also interfaces to industry information sources such as BSP or GDS, enabling a fast and accurate processing of the revenue.
WORLDTRACER
WorldTracer is a fully automated service for lost and mishandled baggage used by over 350 airlines and ground handling companies.
WorldTracer is a highly effective, yet easy-to-use baggage tracing system providing continuous tracing for up to 100 days. It incorporates IATA rules and recommendations concerning baggage tracing. WorldTracer maintains a large worldwide database of on-hand and forwarded baggage information and it has a sophisticated matching mechanism based on external and internal baggage characteristics.
