ACCESS
By car
Düsseldorf International Airport is located on the A 44 motorway and has its own exit, so the access to the airport is very easy.
By train
Düsseldorf Airport has its own Railway Station, located at the eastern end of the airport. SkyTrain, a fully-automated cable railway, brings you from the railway building directly into the Terminal.
The SkyTrain makes a stop at the P4 car park garage. SkyTrain operates at 4-7-minute intervals from 3:45 a.m. until 0:45 a.m. daily and the journey takes 6 and a half minutes. The following tickets are accepted as being valid fare tickets: VRR and VRS tickets, special DB tickets, such as City plus, NRW, Schöne Reise, Schöne Fahrt and Schöner Tag tickets, Rail&Fly tickets, Apcoa Autoparking GmbH car park tickets, for up to 9 persons.
By bus
Regional Buses that stop in front of Central Arrivals are the following:
Route 760 from/to Ratingen Ost via Düsseldorf-Unterrath and Lichtenbroich
Route SB51 from/to Kaarst-Rathaus via Düsseldorf-Nordfriedhof, Meerbusch
Route 721 from/to Tannenhof/Gothaer Weg via main Railway Station

Shuttle bus
There is an airport shuttle service every 20 minutes, connecting Düsseldorf city center with the airport in about 25 minutes. The ticket price is 1.85 Euro/person/one-way and can be bought directly on board. The bus stop is in front of Central Arrivals.
TAXI
Taxis are available on request, in front of Central Arrivals. The taxi costs around 16 Euro/one-way to Düsseldorf downtown and 39 Euro to Essen.
PARKING
The parking rates are divided into two groups, short-term and long-term parking. 1 hour costs between 3.00-3.50 Euro and 1 day costs between 21.00-27.00 Euro. There are also video surveilled parking spaces at 29 Euro per day.
For those who would like to take someone to Departures, P11 short-term car park is available directly in front of Departure C, and for Arrivals, there is a short-term car park P12. The maximum parking time is 30 minutes and costs 1.50 Euro for every 15 minutes.
CAR RENTAL
Several international rent a car companies offer their services upon request in the airport. Rent a car desks can be found at Central Arrivals.
