A walk through Verona is like a walk back in time, during the period of Romeo and Juliet, due to the fact that the city preserves values and forms related to an ancient past of Medieval and Renaissance splendor. According to Shakespeare, “there is no world outside these walls…” but this also expresses the feeling that strikes tourists when they enter the ancient walls surrounding the city.
"Maybe the Shakespearian love story hasn't generated all of Verona's fame - but it certainly is to blame for a large part of it. Was it true or not? This is not important as long as beautiful myths and stories fire our imagination."
